While hunters often return season after season to the Golden Triangle area of South Dakota for the top pheasant hunting opportunities, they choose to come to the Lazy J Grand Lodge for the terrific atmosphere, the friendly and welcoming staff, and the delicious home-cooked meals. Many of our guests have been with us for years, and we look forward to seeing them every pheasant season. Our 22-room lodge is designed with hunters in mind. It is one of the top-rated group pheasant hunting lodges in the area, and we offer everything our guests want and need to make their all-inclusive hunting trip one for the books. We even have an outdoor skeet range to help you sight in your gun and get some practice shooting birds on the fly before getting out in the field.

Shared Spaces for Guest to Enjoy

The pheasant hunting accommodation we provide is all about getting together and enjoying time with your hunting party and new friends you meet at our lodge. Our shared spaces include two lounge areas on different floors of the lodge, as well as a relaxing outdoor patio and grill area. Big chairs, television sets, and an impressive collection of local South Dakota memorabilia and rustic lodge décor set us apart from other bird hunting lodges in the area.

Both floors, upstairs and downstairs, have a self-service wet bar, providing a great place to meet before or after a meal and tell stories about the day’s hunt. With a full-service kitchen and dining area that seats up to a hundred guests, we can accommodate event the largest hunting parties.

The Guest Rooms

The two-person pheasant hunting guest rooms are spacious and practical, and we also have two king rooms available. Guest rooms have their own bathrooms and closet space, making them a true home away from home for our guests.

We also offer on-site laundry, and a large gunroom that is complete with shotgun cleaning equipment and stations. You will also find clean, well-maintained, and luxurious kennel facilities if you want to bring your own bird dogs, just be sure to let us know in advance that we should expect four-legged guests.

Of course, you are also welcome to take advantage of our satellite TV and Wi-Fi and to visit our Pro Shop for your hunting needs or for some souvenirs or gifts for the family. We have welcomed guests to the Lazy J Grand Lodge since 1983, so we have the expertise needed to create the perfect combination of hospitality and hunting experience for all levels of hunters.
